Yes, our centre participates in the government childcare fee reduction program. Parents do not need to apply - eligible amounts are automatically deducted from your bill. For more information, please visit https://childcarenovascotia.ca/families/50-percent-fee-reduction

Unfortunately, we’re unable to predict when a space will open in any of our programs. When an opening does occur, families on our waitlists are contacted in the order their applications were received.

We provide two nutritious snacks and one lunch each day for infants, toddlers, and preschool children, all freshly prepared by our on-site cook. If your child has any dietary restrictions or requires food accommodations, please let us know - we’re happy to work with you.

Educator-to-child ratios vary by age group, and we follow all current licensing requirements. At present, our ratios are 1:4 for infants, 1:6 for toddlers, 1:8 for preschoolers, and 1:14 for school-age children, ensuring appropriate supervision and support at every stage.

We encourage families to visit the centre with their child after registration and closer to their start date. These 1–2 hour morning or afternoon visits help your child become familiar with their new educators, peers, environment, and daily routine. For your child’s comfort and security, we ask that a parent or another trusted guardian remain with them during these visits.

Our centres are closed on holidays. All holiday closures are listed in our Parent Handbook. In the event of closures due to weather, power outages, or other unforeseen circumstances, families will be notified. To keep your child’s spot secure, tuition applies during holidays, other centre closures, and any days your child is absent, including for illness or personal reasons.

We offer a variety of programs for school-age children, including before and after school care, as well as care on PD days, Winter Break, March Break and Summer Break.

During school breaks (excluding holidays), our school-age programs operate full-time. At our Bedford High location, hours are 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, and at our Oceanview location, hours are 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.

Children should bring their own lunch from home during school breaks.
